Irdina Kwan. Freelance brand designer and product photographer, working from a small studio in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.
Your logo, brand guide and product photos. One designer, one studio, four weeks.
Most small brands hire a designer for the logo and a photographer for the pictures, then spend months making the two agree. I do both, so your packaging, Shopee page and Instagram look like the same company from the first day.

The problem
Good product. Page looks like a side hustle.
You spent two years getting the recipe, the fabric or the treatment right. Then the first thing buyers see is a blurry photo and a logo that changes colour between Shopee and Instagram. People judge the product by the page, usually in under three seconds.
| Now | After |
|---|---|
| A logo made in a phone app, stretched to fit the sticker printer. | A mark drawn on a grid, with versions for labels, signage and a 32 px profile picture. |
| Product photos shot on the kitchen counter, each one lit differently. | Thirty photos from one lighting setup, so every listing sits in the same family. |
| Five greens across your packaging, Canva posts and menu board. | Four colours with codes for print and screen, written down in a 24-page guide. |
| Buyers ask on WhatsApp if you are still operating. | A shop that looks established enough to charge RM 5 more per pack. |
Selected work
Six recent projects, and what changed after.
Every project below was designed and photographed in the same studio. The clients sell dodol, songket, coffee, physiotherapy, tiles and surf lessons. The common thread is a small team that needed to look as serious as the work.

The redraw promise
If neither of the first two directions feels like your business, I draw a third one at no charge. If that still misses, I refund half of your deposit and you keep the sketches.
Process and turnaround
From first call to final files in 28 days.
The schedule below is the Identity and Shoot package, the one most clients pick. You always know which week you are in and what you owe me next, which is usually a decision, not a payment.
1
Intro call
Day 0
A free 30-minute video call, or bring the product to the studio. I ask who buys it, what it costs and where you sell it.
2
Quote and deposit
Within 48 hours
You get a written, fixed quote. A 50% deposit by DuitNow QR or FPX locks your start date.
3
Two directions
Week 1
Two logo routes, shown on your real label and a mock Shopee page, not floating on white.
4
Refine and shoot
Weeks 2 and 3
Two rounds of changes. You courier one of each product; return postage in Peninsular Malaysia is on me.
5
Handover
Week 4
Brand guide, logo files and edited photos in one shared folder, then a 45-minute call on how to use them.
Turnaround by package

We had been selling dodol for eleven years with a logo my nephew made. Irdina redrew it, shot every flavour on the same grey, and three gift shops in Melaka called us in the first month. I did not have to explain anything twice.
The two directions came on our real scarf tags, so choosing took ten minutes, not two weeks.
Aiman SyafiqFounder, Tenunara. Identity and Shoot. She told me which of my ideas would print badly on kraft cups before I paid for 5,000 of them.
Kelvin OoiCo-owner, Kopi Lorong Tujuh. Launch. Fixed price, fixed dates, and the handover call alone was worth it. Our front desk still uses the guide.
Dr Priya NairClinical lead, Physiora. Mark.
About
I learned design on the factory floor, next to the printing press.
That is where I saw how many good products get let down by a label that smudges, a colour that prints muddy, or a photo that makes a RM 40 jar look like RM 12.
I grew up in Ipoh above my parents' biscuit shop, packing tins every school holiday. After a design degree I spent six years at a packaging printer in Shah Alam, laying out labels for brands you would find in any pasar raya.
Photography came later, because clients kept sending me product photos that fought with the labels I had designed. Now I do both. The logo is drawn knowing how it will be lit, and the photos are shot knowing where the logo will sit.
I work alone on purpose. You talk to the person who draws your mark and presses the shutter, and nothing gets lost between an account manager and a junior.

Questions
Questions clients ask before paying the deposit.
Seven of them, answered plainly. If yours is not here, WhatsApp it and I will reply within 4 working hours.
I am not in Kuala Lumpur. Can we still work together?
Yes. About half of my clients are outside the Klang Valley. We talk on video, you courier one of each product to the studio, and I send them back when the shoot is done. Return postage in Peninsular Malaysia is included. For Sabah and Sarawak I quote the postage upfront.
Who owns the logo and the photos?
You do. When the final payment clears you get full rights to the logo, the guide and every delivered photo, for any use, forever. I only ask to show the work in my portfolio, and you can say no.
How do I pay?
50% deposit to book the start date, 50% on handover. DuitNow QR, FPX or bank transfer. You get a proper invoice and receipt for both, useful for your own tax records.
What if I do not like either design direction?
Then I draw a third, at no charge. If that still misses, I refund half of your deposit and you keep the sketches. In five years this has happened twice.
Can I book only the photography?
Yes, if you already have a logo you are happy with. Product photos start at RM 1,500 for 20 photos on one sweep colour. If your logo is going to change within a year, do both together, or you will pay to reshoot the packaging.
Can you write the label text in Malay and English?
Yes, as an add-on at RM 600 per product. That covers the name, a short description and the required label details. Halal and KKM wording must still be checked against your own certificate.
How fast can you really go?
Rush delivery costs 25% more and cuts the timeline by about a third. The Mark package can be done in 7 working days. Anything faster than that and the quality drops, so I will not offer it.
